SPRINGCARD SUPPLIES THE SALON CARTES 2008
16/10/2008
For the second year, the reader/writers manufactured by SpringCard will be used at the Salon Cartes 2008. To cover the needs of this event, SpringCard’s reader/writers will include the ProxNRoll, the CrazyWriter, and the CSB-WEF. The Salon Cartes will be held November 4-6, 2008, at the Parc d’Exposition de Paris Nord, Villepinte.
Tech-Event, the official service provider for attendee management at this event, was extremely pleased with the performance of SpringCard at last year’s event. Tech-Event did not hesitate a second when it came to renew their collaboration with SpringCard for this upcoming show.
• THE SPRINGCARD PRODUCTS USED FOR ATTENDEE REGISTRATION
o PROXNROLL
The ProxNRoll is one of the most innovative and reliable products of the range. This reader/writer is compatible with any ISO 14443 and ISO 15693 card or tag. In the RFID scanner mode, one just needs to reach the magnetic field of the antenna to read the content of the electronic chip. The data is conveyed through the USB to the PC or a host. The ProxNRoll is easy to carry around and one can set it on any type of desktop, holder, or table. At the Salon Cartes 2008, the ProxNRoll will be displayed at each booth and will allow the collection of information for each attendee visiting the booth.
o CRAZYWRITER
The CrazyWriter, a contactless card reader/writer, is currently implemented in all Dualys color printers from Evolis. These printers will run during Salon Cartes 2008 to enroll and encode all the participants and guests of the tradeshow.
The integration of the CrazyWriter allows Dualys printers to encode the ISO 14443 contactless badges. The CrazyWriter is embedded in the printer through a USB connection. For optimal performance, the reader/writer is positioned in a way that the antenna is parallel to the path of the badge. The badge is thus printed with personalized information and encoded at the same time.
o CSB-WEF
The CSB-WEF permits the verification of access rights of the visitor badges to the Salon Cartes 2008. This reader is delivered in its OEM version, and is designed to be integrated in the access control poles at the various entrances of the tradeshow. The CSB-WEF is mounted with three color high luminescent LEDs allowing an easy visualization of access rights. The blue color indicates that the access pole is powered and ready for someone to present a card, green indicates the cardholder is allowed to pass, and red indicates that the card is not valid.
These three SpringCard products have been selected by Tech-Event, the official service provider for attendee management at Salon Cartes 2008.
Impressed by Springcard’s responsiveness at last year’s event, Wahib Bendib, CEO of Tech-Event, said: « We decided to renew our collaboration with SpringCard, because their team is made of professionals who master RFID technologies extremely well, and they manage to adapt their know-how to our unique requirements, which is essential for any industrial venture. »
